A composite filling is a tooth-coloured restoration which is used to repair damage to a tooth caused by decay, cracks, or fractures. We do not use mercury fillings here!
Reasons for getting a composite filling:
- To repair chipped, cracked, or broken teeth
- to restore worn or decayed teeth
- To close gaps between teeth
- Cosmetic fixes
Composite fillings usually only require one appointment, in some cases where there are multiple fillings to be done then it may spread over a couple of appointments.
Sensitivity to hot or cold temperatures is sometimes experienced shortly after composite fillings are placed. However, this usually subsides after a fews days. If symptoms persist please contact us.
